MO / IVY
Because the play goes back and forth in time, the age of actresses playing MO and IVY can vary. It is suggested, however, that both actresses be approximately the same age.
All other parts are played by the COMPANY, comprised of three WOMEN and three MEN.
If budget dictates seven salaries, the man playing JERRY can double.
The following is a suggested breakdown of those parts:
FIRST WOMAN: (Older)
CINEMA TICKET SELLER
SECOND WOMAN: (Younger)
THIRD WOMAN: (Older)
FIRST MAN: (Younger — around the same age as Actress playing MO)
TOM (Mo’s Brother)
SOLDIER IN BARRACKS
SECOND MAN: (Old enough to play IVY’S father)
MAN WITH MAIL
YOUNG AMERICAN CAPTAIN
SOLDIER WITH MAIL
SOLDIER AT SOUTHAMPTON
